Superior Surf Systems is your source for specialized performance wing paddles, Stand Up and Outrigger as well as whitewater /surf kayak paddles. The paddle pictured above is a "wing" paddle which originally developed in Sweden 25 years ago and has now become standard equipment for the performance paddler. The blade differs from all other types of paddles in that it is shaped like an airplane wing with a pronounced lip on the upper edge of the blade. This unique design reduces slip and makes for a very solid catch while simultaneously creating lift as it is pulled through the water. Sounds nice, and it is. Straight and bent shaft whitewater/surf paddles in full carbon construction are also available as our Sup and outrigger paddles. And, of course, we offer paddles for children... shorter shafts that are smaller in diameter with smaller blades. Without delving too deep, paddles are a very personal & individual choice. There is no one "right" paddle, nor is there a set formula for arriving at the "right length" or offset. Think PowerWing

The Think PowerWing has gone through extensive prototyping and testing, with the end result offering a true performance breakthrough. It's the perfect marriage of a high performance blade AND a revolutionary shaft. The PowerWing blade provides a smooth but solid catch. They are stable all the way through the stroke, and clean on the exit. The medium/small blade size is perfect for ski racing or fitness paddling.

The blades are then mated to our unique small diameter shaft (25.4 mm), and then finished with the PowerGrip grip tape. The PowerGrip itself offers the right amount of grip vs.slip, and requires significantly less effort to control the paddle. The end result is less fatigue in your fingers and forearms, offering a real world advantage. By beginning with the smaller diameter shaft, it allows us to add the PowerGrip, while keeping the overall diameter ideal for comfort and performance. The shaft is a two-piece adjustable, 206 - 216 cm. Our locking mechanism is a simple stainless clamp that does not slip, creep, seize, or bind. Sometimes simple is best. The result is a two-piece paddle you can trust to perform long term.

Wave

The popular large blade for fast acceleration in waves. The forgiving rounded blade also provides a lot of surface to lean on during maneuvers on the wave face. The Wave blade sports a slightly rounded profile to enhance stability in each stroke. It provides more power per stroke than the largest Enduro blade and is easier on your shoulders than the Power blade.

Enduro

A well balance blade design with a medium strong dihedral providing stability and power. Available in 4 sizes tailored to different power requests and designed as a multipurpose paddle for waves, flat water and racing. Enduro Fiber-Tufskin

The all new Fiber-Tufskin paddle features a nicely-foiled strong ABS blade based on the Enduro 525. The Fiber-Tufskin blade comes standard with the Glass Rebound shaft making it an exceptionally good value. A kids' version with a shorter shaft and a smaller 400 cm (62 in ) blade size is also available.
