Welcome to Superior Surf Systems Print E-mail

I have always been drawn to water. It is why I live near Lake Superior, the mother lode of all bodies of fresh water. But its not only Superior, its all the lakes, rivers, creeks and flowages we have here in the upper midwest, specifically Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. The Natives, the Voyageurs and perhaps even the Vikings plied these waterways, and when I am paddling here, I feel them. Superior Surf Systems in Duluth, MN, is a truly unique water sport shop which exists to provide midwestern paddlers and surfers with new and cutting edge, performance water craft. It exists to open up new experiences or introduce better equipment for adventure racers, cross country skiers and cyclists to compete with or cross train on. It exists to cater to the paddler who is looking for a far faster, lighter and more efficient hull than she has ever had the opportunity to experience. It exists to provide the crazy guys and gals, who venture out into icy waters to surf on a breaking river or one of the Great Lakes, with a new board or a new boat that will enable rides or moves previously unattainable. It exists to be a resource for water enthusiasts everywhere and anywhere.

Superior Surf Systems is a pipe dream, triple entendre, and pun intended. This is the first post on my own web site of my own business. My hope is that every couple months I will be able to post something new, insightful and informative here. In the meantime, a forum will be created where visitors like you may share your thoughts, questions, experiences, and advice on recreating in or on our local waters. A calendar will be maintained to let you know what's happening on the water. Symposia, races, seminars, rendezvous, demos and instruction will all be put on or sponsored by Superior Surf Systems. Stewardship, in the form of political and environmental participation, is a primary objective as well. Look for updates and links regarding things that should concern us all. Get out and get wet!
